Friends and supporters of long-distance events, I must admit that I find it very difficult to find words for the following lines, until the last moment I didn't to admit at all, but this scenario occurs and tried to fight and resist adversity. I absolutely don't regret anything, it was a fierce fight, I was pulling a shorter part of the rope from the beginning, but I still believed that hope was dying last. Unfortunately in vain ...
We are forced to cancel this year's 53rd Brdy Trail.
The reason is nothing more than a continuing permission issue concerning the land owned by Lesy Colloredo-Mansfeld s.r.o.
As I mentioned in one of the previous contributions, the advancing bark beetle calamity caused the landowner, Mr. Leonhard Colloredo - Mansfeld, to demand the rent of land amounting to 10 000, - CZK / day + VAT.
After two weeks, we received an answer that unfortunately confirmed us that further negotiations are meaningless, and in agreement with our solicitor, we have decided to stop the event.
Of course, we'll send funds back to bank account by the end of the week to all who have paid for the entry fee.
I would like to thank you once again for your interest, I really appreciate it, as well as the experience and many experiences that I have gained during the previous two years. I will certainly remember them for good.
And what happens next to the Brdy Trail? Yes, a good question, but I say straight away I don't know. It is entirely up to KÄŒT Tempo Praha to decide whether, they would like to take over the gloved hand. Personally, I'm determined that I'll not organize the next year as the main organizer.
